BENEFITS OF USING Alpha 8^® ASBESTOS-CAP^® TO ENCAPSULATE EXISTING ROOFING MEMBRANES THAT CONTAIN ASBESTOS

Prior to 1978 roofing manufacturers used asbestos in formulating their roofing material, such as felt and capsheet. Today, those roofing membranes still can be found over commercial, industrial and residential buildings.

When the time comes to re-roof, all those old roofing membranes need to be removed because of weight problems, leaks, deterioration and city ordinances and building codes.
In order to remove the old roofing membranes that contain asbestos, "hazardous material" abatement companies need to be called in because they are the only ones permitted to remove the old roofing materials -- at great expense.
